💧 How It Plays

Commander: Toph, the First Metalbender – lands, artifacts and earthbending.

Toph makes your nontoken artifacts count as lands as well, so every artifact you play also feeds your land-matters cards. At the beginning of each of your end steps she earthbends 2, turning a land into a creature that grows with +1/+1 counters.

The rest of the deck rewards land drops: Totoro (Bristly Bill) grows your creatures whenever a land enters, and earthbenders like Kushana and Yakul turn your lands into attackers, so your board keeps growing turn after turn.

Cards you’ll see in the photos include: Birds of Paradise (The Gray Heron), Esper Sentinel (Laputian Robot), Ragavan (Calcifer), Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar (Kiki), Bristly Bill (Totoro), Avatar Kyoshi, Earthbender (Kushana) and Badgermole Cub (Boh).
